Here’s a “little” something I made for pike. I hope I’ll try this one out next weekend. This one is made with Trailing Hook System mention before but this time I used two triple hooks. For this 7 inch (18 cm) streamer I used my favorite Craft Fur and Ostrich feathers.

Yesterday I had a trip to Bovan lake near Aleksinac. This was actually totally unexpected. I was fishing for pike… I even had a wire leader but I guess this little zander couldn’t resist my Ostrich and Craft Fur Pike Streamer. I know it’s not that big but it’s my first Zander ever caught on fly!

I just got my craft fur and it’s time to experiment. This one is made specially for pike.

Last year I’ve been fishing pike with single-hook streamers only.  I just couldn’t set the hook every time the pike strikes. First I thought the problem was in my rod. But with some closer observation I noticed that pike would sometimes just grab a tail of my fly or just miss it when strikes.

…in April… was a bad idea! A few of my friends and I decided to visit Greece this year. We started making plans about it during the last year and we knew everything about the location where we were going to fish. But we didn’t know fishing was forbidden on all rivers and lakes in Greece from 15th of April until 15th of May!
