…in April… was a bad idea! A few of my friends and I decided to visit Greece this year. We started making plans about it during the last year and we knew everything about the location where we were going to fish. But we didn’t know fishing was forbidden on all rivers and lakes in Greece from 15th of April until 15th of May! It was a bad idea to come so early in Greece but we wanted to avoid all the tourists and too many people. So we were forced to switch to saltwater fly fishing. It was fun because it was something new for us. But we didn’t have much success since it was still cold and we saw only few fish from docs and beaches.

We hoped to catch some European seabass and Garfish but everything we could see and catch was Horse Mackerel or Scad and Weaverfish with poisonous spines.

  1. That poisonous fish sounds interesting, did you try licking it?
